Fujita Iron Works' history of 110 years

In 1914, we started as a private company for the production of tea processing machines and machine tools. Now me make engine parts for automobile and small utility engines.
We are one of few companies which is specialized in making parts with integrated manufacture. We can make tooling, hot and cold forging, heat treatments, machining, grinding and assembly, all in our company.

During the war, we manufactured military items.

In 1914, Tasaku Fujita started as a blacksmith for agricultural tools. Tasaku found the possibility with tea manufacturing as tea was, and still is, the signature product in Shizuoka. Then, he started making tea machine too. During the war period, our factory belonged to Nippon Gakki Co. Ltd. and started to make aircraft parts.

1951
In 1951, name of the company is changed to Fujita Iron Works and expanded the production in order to meet the increased demand of automobile parts.

After the war, Fujita Iron Works started manufacturing automobile parts, especially crankshafts and connecting rods from forging, heat treatment to grinding. It was the foundation of our integrated manufacture. In 1960, with the wave of the high growth economy, Daiwa Forging Co., Ltd. was established as precision forging company. In 1964, Fuji Metal Mold Co., Ltd was established in view of the importance of metal mold in future to make hot forging mold, cold molding mold and press mold. In 1970, for the expansion of the business, our factory was separated and named as South factory.

Sales were expanded to western countries and we reinforced our productions.

Along with our business expansion, we started to manufacture and export our crankshafts and connecting rods of land mowers to a company located in Sydney, Australia called VICTA. In 1974, we started business with a company called BEAIRD in the united states. In Japan, we started our business with Mitsubishi heavy industries LTD, Nagoya Kiki Co., Ltd., Shindaiwa Corporation, Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd., and Ishikawajima Shibaura Machinery. Along with the reinforcement of production capacity of the group, we established Seiwa heat treatment Co,, Ltd. in 1978 and Fujita Co in 1991.

We gained our ground in Indonesia and Vietnam.

We reinforced our facilities and started new factories.

To cut production costs was our big assignment in order to survive in the global economy competitions. Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd asked us to make a factory in Indonesia and we established PT. FUJITA INDONESIA in 2002. With the background of our quality and favorable sales, Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd asked us to make an integrated manufacture factory in Vietnam too. In 2010, we established FUJITA VIETNAM CO., LTD in Vietnam.

2013
To become a better factory,we established the first office in the south factory.

In 1970, South factory was established as our production base and has been expanded in line with our business expansion. In the beginning, our production line was operated separately, but in order to increase efficiency, our production lines were evolved into the integrated manufacture. in 2013, The first office in the south factory is completed to support the Fujita Enterprise Group.

The construction of the Welfare and Equipment Maintenance Building has been completed.

In place of the Machinery and Equipment Factory building, which had been in use for over 50 years, we have completed the construction of the new Welfare and Equipment Maintenance Building.

January 4th - Celebrating 100th Anniversary of Founding.

Celebrated the 110th anniversary of our establishment on January 4th.

To commemorate our 110th anniversary, we planted Japanese Rowan trees.
Japanese Rowan is a hard wood that is resistant to fire and is traditionally believed to protect against calamities.
